The children learn to understand each other as a group and train cooperative action. Only together can the problem be solved and the ball made to run.

Instructions

The "rope ball track" consists of a thick rope, which forms a kind of chute by keeping its two ends closely parallel.

One child stands at the top and holds the rope where the rope makes a U-turn halfway along its length. One child stands at the other end and holds the two ends.

The rest of the children stand facing each other and hold the rope so that there is a track for a tennis ball between its parallel strands.

The tennis ball is inserted by the teacher and the class carefully rolls it back and forth from one end of the rope to the other without the ball falling down.

The count is:

  • how often the ball changes direction. or as a variation

  • how long the ball can be kept on track.

Tips
You have to be careful of a good slope, the right distance between the ropes, not letting your fingers jam the tennis ball, etc. Sometimes it takes longer for the game to work, but then it's all the more fun!
