Children learn to listen very carefully, to recognise relevant information as such and to store it as accurately as possible in their short-term memory. During storytelling, what has been memorised must then be reproduced.

Instructions

  1. The teacher prepares a short text (newspaper report, description of a situation, ...).

  2. Five pupils are needed for a game.

  3. Four of them are sent out of the room.

  4. The teacher and the fifth remaining pupil sit opposite each other and the teacher reads the text to the pupil.

  5. One by one, the other four pupils are called in, each pupil entering being informed by the previous pupil of the 'news' in the text.

  6. The class listens, observes and analyses the different stories (truths).
