Goal of this exercise is improving

  • conscious breathing

  • muscles and their interaction

  • of tension and relaxation in the body

Children learn to relax and to control their breathing in order to calm down.

Instructions

  1. Slowly raise both arms up each side of the body until they are fully extended.

  2. Inhale

  3. Then let your arms and upper body fall forward and down - as far as possible.

  4. Exhale as you do this

IMPORTANT

  • let your head, neck, shoulders and arms hang freely

  • stand up ALWAYS

  • breathe in

  • rise vertebrae by vertebrae

  • last seven vertebrae (the big one on your neck) deliberately at the end.
