Children learn to sit relaxed and upright and use breathing techniques.

Instructions

Children lie on their backs, stretched out in the room, with a book that is not too heavy on their bellies. Breathe slowly and deeply into the stomach, allowing the book to rise (inhale) or fall (exhale).

Deep abdominal breathing is trained. It's easy to notice and check for yourself if the breath is actually coming from the stomach and not shallow from the chest.
