The aim of this exercise is to improve

  • imagination of real situations/people

  • linguistic expression

  • the development and expression of creative ideas and suggestions

The children can combine their own experiences and observations and use them to create new ideas and characters.

Instructions

The children lie on the floor with their eyes closed. The teacher begins to tell a story and thus leads the children into a specific situation.

With questions to the children, the description of the situation, the action is gradually developed, the progression of the story is developed. This could be, for example:

  • You go for a walk on the beach in the evening. How does the sand feel? Are you alone? Can you see fish? Are they big? Are you swimming out to sea?

  • You see three cloaked figures. What do they want from you? What do you give them?

Tips
The ability to call up unconsciously stored observations of situations and people and their distinctive features is made easier by the relaxed exercise situation.
