Not only the power of imagination is trained, but also the concentration on one thing and the ability to mentally put it into a new context with others.

Instructions

The teacher prepares a list of people for the class that are relevant to the children in their current everyday classroom life: People from history, music, entertainment, but also from school, characters from textbooks, etc.

  1. The children are given the task of finding out exactly about a personality on the Internet. They should remember many details of the personalities and especially note down information on striking character or personality traits, behaviour, clothing, etc. A picture of the person is printed or sketched and hung up.

  2. Each child presents his/her personality in detail to the class.

  3. The listening children should concentrate on the descriptions. They memorise external and internal characteristics of the person presented.

  4. Each child memorises details from the descriptions and forms a new person from them in their imagination.

Finally, each child imagines themselves as the fictional person. The other children react each time a characteristic is named that they associate with the original and write down the name.

The winner is the one who has the most matches at the end.

Tips
