  • auditory perception and

  • interpreting impressions

This exercise promotes close-up listening and can be used as a silent meditation exercise.

Instructions

Children sit on chairs or on the floor. They should be absolutely silent and concentrate on the sounds that are heard.

Teacher: You must be absolutely quiet now and concentrate only on your ears! Listen carefully and write down what you notice! Afterwards we will discuss your perceptions!

Listen to:

  1. What noises are still in the room, even if everyone is quiet?

  2. What sounds do we hear from outside the room?

Tips
To make the exercise a bit easier and allow for more auditory perceptions, the window can be opened at the beginning
