Goal of this exercise is improving

  • conscious awareness of breathing

  • muscle interaction, 

  • posture

Children learn to breathe to calm down, relax and have energy to talk.

Instructions

  1. Spread your legs hip width apart

  2. Extend your right arm palm up

  3. Inhale as you move

  4. Bend your upper body slightly to the side

  5. Knees stay slightly bent

  6. Hold your breath as you reach the top of the stretch

  7. Gently touch the stretched chest with the other hand

  8. Hold your breath

  9. Bring your hand and arm back down

  10. Exhale as you do this.

  11. Same process - now the left arm.
